Anouska Cassano was recommended to me by my plastic surgeon following a breast reconstruction after breast cancer. I had already had one session with another practitioner to help create the image of an areola and nipple with semi-permanent tattooing. However I was left a little cold by the consultation and the initial session – both of which were hurried, lacked essential information and didn’t take my personal issues into account.

My experience with Anouska was significantly different – from the first phonecall to book in my consultation, to the consultation itself, and the actual procedure.
Anouska took the time to understand my needs, was sympathetic to the issues I faced, and explained the procedure thoroughly. She was both professional and friendly and put me at ease immediately. The consultation was meticulous, with Anouska ensuring all my requirements were taken into account. This, coupled with her extensive knowledge and experience with people in a similar situation to mine, meant I felt very confident and comfortable in her hands.

The procedure iself requires before and after pictures which, when particularly sensitive about surgery I have had, was handled sensitively and carefully. Colour matching to my natural breast was a systematic and thorough process, with Anouska using her skills to use the correct pigments so there was very little differentiation between the natural breast and the reconstruction. Anouska worked with me to decide on colours and size and area that needed tattooing. She is extremely inclusive and, although she is the expert, she never imposes her opinion without my input and absolute agreement.

I would recommend Anouska’s services to anyone in a situation similar to mine. She has made a very difficult situation a great deal better and has helped me regain my confidence in my body image. (Andrea, London)
